Job Purpose:

  • To build the wealth management proposition franchise by defining the processes, Risk parameters, credit and compliance capabilities.
  • To build AUMs and NFI by personally meeting clients and structuring the strategy to assist Individual as well as Institutional clients, in liaison with the wealth manager and investment team.
  • To work with UAE-CB and SCA to obtain all relevant regulatory approvals.

Key Accountabilities:

Products (AUM and NFI):

  • Work closely with Asset management team to develop superior investment product offering for direct clients as well as for introducers and banks (for distribution) while developing the open architecture infrastructure and network.
  • Work with Head of Asset Management and execute AMs product strategy including core and tactical offerings.
  • Introduce and implement the product strategy for short and long term with a macro level alignment with financial objectives of the bank.
  • Be committed to ensuring effectiveness of the product strategy by working very closely with Wealth Management team and contributing in asset raise by evaluating Private Clients, institutions, GREs and Insurance companies.
  • Work closely with Head of Wealth Management and develop distribution channels for the Bank's products and services.
  • Launch at least 4 tactical strategies each year with superior risk reward proposition which can attract new clients as well as optimize on existing AUMs.
  • Support the Head of WM with his strategic planning for business expansion, including development of new customer segments, niche products, new markets and sales channels.
  • Work with business Introducers and partners in optimizing existing AUMs as well as to get incremental share of AUMs by offering superior investment solutions
  • Evaluate performance of products and perform detailed analysis & report for management’s review.
  • Work closely with Head of Wealth and Asset Management to build the AUM and revenue stream through wealth management products especially, Structured Products and Alternatives.

Lending:

  • Work closely with Head of WM and create a comprehensive lending proposition including:
  • Lombard/ single line lending framework
  • Defining acceptable collateral, risk acceptance criteria, Shortfall management
  • Periodic monitoring and acceleration procedures

Advisory support:

  • Responsible for periodically evaluating that Risk Profile Questionnaire are in-line with regulatory requirements, including suitability and appropriateness in line with the regulations.
  • Work with internal Audit and compliance teams to ensure business is compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • With closely with Head of WM to deliver internal WM trainings (Boot Camps)
  • Work with Head of WM and liaise with internal stake holders for establishing commission structure and timely pay-outs.
  • Effectively communicate relevant market information and investment ideas to internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with front office sales teams and provide training where necessary.
  • Do joint meetings with frontline and business partners where needed
  • Help create new and out of the box solutions for bespoke requirements
  • Review accounts of high-net-worth clients periodically to monitor overall product and portfolio profitability in accordance with established policies and procedures and pro-actively engage clients to discuss the need to re-balance investment portfolios.

Projects, Proposition and Processes:

  • Execute the client value propositions, positioning, segmentation, pricing, targeting, channel strategies and competitive differentiation
  • Develop and control the quality of customer communication in relation to the products under management.
  • Ensure high standards of service excellence and minimize risks in execution.
  • Continuously enhancing workflows to achieve the organization goals of efficiency gains and risk reduction.

Compliance and Governance

  • Ensure product compliance with regulatory requirements including Central Bank and SCA.
  • Perform internal quarterly reviews and ensure all offerings are in-line with the regulators’ expectations at all times.
  • Responsible for working with Audit and Compliance and closure of all out-standing issues.
  • Work with head of WM on overall standards of sales governance, complying with external requirements as well as internally Audit/compliance standards.
  • Implement the methodology to define and measure customer and product levels risks along with necessary override provisions and exception frameworks.

Experience Required:

  • Direct working experience in well-known International and local banks in WM of at least 8-10 years in wealth Management, preferably under licensing of UAECB and SCA.
  • Thorough knowledge of the key investment products offered in the UAE along with all major Fund Managers / Counterparties.
  • Knowledge of Structured Products in terms of idea generation, universe of counterparties and intermediaries for pricing and offering it to the eligible clients in line with the product strategy and regulations.

Qualification:

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proficient with budgeting and financial planning
  • Proven track record of launching and managing PnL of Wealth Management products

Desirable:

  • Master’s degree in finance CFA qualified / candidate pursuing the qualification (CFA Institute, USA)
  • ICWM certification SCA / CISI Certification (Mandatory)
