Job Opportunity : Head of Procurement in Dubai

A global aviation services provider is seeking to hire a Head of Procurement to join its team in Dubai.

Key responsibilities include :

• Developing and implementing strategies to expand supplier accounts and enter new markets.
• Managing pricing quotes, following up on activities, and ensuring timely conversions.
• Maintaining accurate pricing data in operational databases to support decision-making.
• Proactively addressing supply issues and maintaining stable fuel operations by engaging with suppliers.
• Supporting the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) program to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Streamlining invoicing processes by integrating additional suppliers to industry standards.
• Setting departmental objectives aligned with business goals and overseeing team performance.
• Providing leadership and guidance to team members, assessing departmental practices, and implementing improvements.
• Preparing and delivering monthly performance and forecast presentations.
• Managing records of credit and pre-payment suppliers, maintaining vendor information, and facilitating communication for fuel-related prices and procurement tasks.

Qualifications and Experience :

• Degree-level qualifications in supply chain management; CIPS certification is a plus.
• At least 10 years of experience in procurement, including sourcing, negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
