We are seeking an experienced Head of Procurement, to lead our supply chain operations and drive strategic procurement initiatives across our furniture business. This senior leadership role requires a seasoned professional with deep expertise in procurement strategy, demand planning, and inventory optimization within the UAE market.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Procurement Leadership

• Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with business objectives
• Lead vendor selection, negotiation, and relationship management across furniture categories
• Drive cost optimization initiatives while maintaining quality standards
• Establish procurement policies, procedures, and governance frameworks
• Oversee demand planning and sales forecasting processes
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure accurate demand signals
• Develop seasonal planning strategies for furniture collections and product launches
• Monitor market trends and consumer behavior to inform forecasting models
• Optimize inventory levels to balance service levels with working capital efficiency
• Implement inventory reconciliation processes and controls
• Drive inventory turnover improvements and minimize obsolescence
• Establish KPIs and reporting mechanisms for inventory performance
• Build and lead high-performing procurement and planning teams
• Mentor team members and drive capability development
• Foster cross-functional collaboration with finance, operations, and commercial teams

Required Qualifications

Experience & Background

• 10+ years of experience in procurement, planning, and forecasting roles
• Minimum 5 years in the UAE market with strong understanding of local suppliers and regulations
• Furniture industry experience highly preferred
• Proven track record in senior procurement or supply chain leadership positions
• Arabic speaking is plus

Technical Skills

• Expert knowledge of procurement best practices and strategic sourcing
• Advanced skills in demand planning, forecasting methodologies, and inventory optimization
• Proficiency in ERP systems (Odoo, or similar)
• Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision making
• Knowledge of UAE import / export regulations and compliance requirements
