Job description

Job Title: Head of Operations & Retail Assets Center

The Head of Operations & Retail Assets Center is responsible for managing the Central Operations, Retail Assets Center, Trade Finance Operations, Treasury Investments & Securities Operations at Finance House.

Major Responsibilities:
  1. Manage the overall functions of Operations (including Central Operations, Trade Finance, Retail Assets Center, Treasury, Investments, and Securities Operations).
  2. Ensure efficient operation of all functions aligned with strategic, developmental, and operational plans.
  3. Implement and maintain effective controls across the Operations Unit, covering both financial and non-financial aspects.
  4. Establish ownership of operational objectives and performance standards among management and staff.
  5. Oversee daily activities across units.
  6. Define Turnaround Time (TAT) with stakeholders and implement performance monitoring tools.
  7. Ensure compliance with standards of conduct.
  8. Set and manage the department's annual budget and non-financial targets, in coordination with GCOO.
  9. Act within delegated authorities and escalate issues as necessary.
  10. Enhance processes and policies to support organizational goals, ensuring adherence to rules and regulations.
  11. Manage retail operations to optimize cost-effectiveness and process efficiency, maintaining customer-centricity and core values.
  12. Ensure card processing activities comply with payment association rules.
  13. Oversee WPS processing activities, ensuring compliance with CBUAE regulations.
  14. Manage operational risks by maintaining updated RCSA and implementing appropriate controls.
  15. Lead projects related to new product launches, process re-engineering, service quality, and productivity improvements.
  16. Liaise with internal and external parties for project delivery, focusing on payment system enhancements.
  17. Oversee daily account reconciliation, ensuring zero outstanding items as per TAT.
  18. Maintain relationships with third-party providers, ensuring SLA compliance and managing payments.
  19. Set and monitor KPIs for Retail Asset team members aligned with department goals.
  20. Pursue operational excellence continuously.
  21. Address audit and compliance issues, aiming to reduce observations.
  22. Support the achievement of strategic and operational objectives of the company.
People Management:
  1. Build and lead an effective Operations Management team.
  2. Drive change management initiatives within the team.
  3. Manage organizational structure, staffing, and recruitment.
  4. Support talent management, helping staff realize their potential.
  5. Implement succession planning and development strategies in collaboration with HR.
  6. Conduct performance reviews and professional development planning.
  7. Provide professional leadership across the company.
  8. Manage relationships with external service providers.
  9. Perform additional tasks as assigned by GCOO.
Desired Skills and Experience:
