Job Title: Head of Operations & Retail Assets Center
The Head of Operations & Retail Assets Center is responsible for managing the Central Operations, Retail Assets Center, Trade Finance Operations, Treasury Investments & Securities Operations at Finance House.
Major Responsibilities:
- Manage the overall functions of Operations (including Central Operations, Trade Finance, Retail Assets Center, Treasury, Investments, and Securities Operations).
- Ensure efficient operation of all functions aligned with strategic, developmental, and operational plans.
- Implement and maintain effective controls across the Operations Unit, covering both financial and non-financial aspects.
- Establish ownership of operational objectives and performance standards among management and staff.
- Oversee daily activities across units.
- Define Turnaround Time (TAT) with stakeholders and implement performance monitoring tools.
- Ensure compliance with standards of conduct.
- Set and manage the department's annual budget and non-financial targets, in coordination with GCOO.
- Act within delegated authorities and escalate issues as necessary.
- Enhance processes and policies to support organizational goals, ensuring adherence to rules and regulations.
- Manage retail operations to optimize cost-effectiveness and process efficiency, maintaining customer-centricity and core values.
- Ensure card processing activities comply with payment association rules.
- Oversee WPS processing activities, ensuring compliance with CBUAE regulations.
- Manage operational risks by maintaining updated RCSA and implementing appropriate controls.
- Lead projects related to new product launches, process re-engineering, service quality, and productivity improvements.
- Liaise with internal and external parties for project delivery, focusing on payment system enhancements.
- Oversee daily account reconciliation, ensuring zero outstanding items as per TAT.
- Maintain relationships with third-party providers, ensuring SLA compliance and managing payments.
- Set and monitor KPIs for Retail Asset team members aligned with department goals.
- Pursue operational excellence continuously.
- Address audit and compliance issues, aiming to reduce observations.
- Support the achievement of strategic and operational objectives of the company.
People Management:
- Build and lead an effective Operations Management team.
- Drive change management initiatives within the team.
- Manage organizational structure, staffing, and recruitment.
- Support talent management, helping staff realize their potential.
- Implement succession planning and development strategies in collaboration with HR.
- Conduct performance reviews and professional development planning.
- Provide professional leadership across the company.
- Manage relationships with external service providers.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by GCOO.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- 15-20 years of experience in Finance/Banking, particularly in Operations and Retail Asset Center.
- Experience across multiple operations areas, audit, project management, policies, and procedures preferred.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline; Master's degree preferred.
