Head of Operations GCC

We are working on behalf of a leading European manufacturing company at the forefront of power automation technologies, with a growing presence across the Middle East. As part of their strategic expansion, we are seeking a Head of Country Operations to lead the UAE business unit.

This is a high-impact leadership position requiring a hands-on, commercially driven executive with deep experience in the power, electrical, or renewable energy sectors. The ideal candidate will have a solid engineering foundation combined with strong business instincts, and a track record in operational excellence, P&L ownership, and stakeholder engagement.

You will be responsible for driving the full spectrum of country operations – from sales performance and project execution through to financial control and people leadership. Working closely with the global HQ, you will localise strategic initiatives, foster strong client and government relationships, and ensure high standards of delivery across all technical and commercial functions.

We are looking for an ambitious operator who is not only fluent in engineering language but can also challenge commercial decisions with data-driven insights and business intelligence. A passion for innovation in energy systems and smart automation will be highly valued.

Key criteria:

• Engineering degree or technical background essential
• Proven experience in power, electrical systems or renewable energy
• Strong operational leadership with full P&L responsibility
• Commercial and strategic mindset
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders across regions
• Knowledge of the regional energy landscape in the Middle East
• Bonus: familiarity with data analytics, market intelligence, or automation trends
