Job Purpose:
Responsible for leading the project management team and overseeing the successful delivery of all projects within the organization by driving project excellence, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the project management team, setting clear goals and objectives aligned with the company's strategic priorities.
- Oversee the development and execution of project plans, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Monitor project progress and performance and take proactive measures to address issues and risks.
- Lead and mentor a team of project managers and coordinators, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal teams. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
- Allocate resources, including personnel, budget, and equipment, to support project activities. Monitor resource utilization and adjust as needed to optimize project performance.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks. Develop risk management strategies and contingency plans to minimize the impact of potential issues and challenges.
- Establish and enforce quality assurance processes and standards to ensure that project deliverables meet quality requirements and standards. Conduct regular quality reviews and audits to identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present regular project status reports to executive leadership and stakeholders. Communicate project objectives, milestones, and outcomes effectively to ensure transparency and alignment.
- Attending internal meetings and training as advised by Line Manager / Supervisor
- Communicate frequently with team members to offer and obtain information.
- Ensure that company format, procedures (safety) and policies are followed.
- Ensure that ISO procedures and requirements are complied with.
- Ensure to comply with code of conduct and ethics.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Education Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 10-12 years of experience in project management, with a track record of successfully leading and delivering complex projects.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and empower teams to achieve results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, such as Agile, Scrum, and Microsoft Project.
- Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Experience working in an Engineering company is a plus.
