Job purpose

The Head of Marketing will lead the overall marketing strategy and execution for the Healthcare Cluster, covering the pharmacy retail chain, pharmaceutical product distribution, and hospital business units. The role is responsible for driving brand visibility, patient engagement, B2B partnerships, and commercial growth, while ensuring compliance with UAE healthcare regulations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Marketing Leadership

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with the cluster’s business objectives.
  • Position the healthcare brands (pharmacy, distribution, hospital) as market leaders in their respective domains.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor strategies, and patient/customer insights to identify growth opportunities.

Brand & Communication

  • Establish and strengthen the brand identity for each business line while ensuring alignment with the Group’s overall brand.
  • Manage corporate communications, public relations, and digital presence (social media, website, campaigns).
  • Develop patient and customer engagement campaigns for the hospital and pharmacy chain.

Pharmacy & Distribution Marketing

  • Create marketing programs to drive in-store footfall, retail promotions, and loyalty programs.
  • Support pharmaceutical product distribution by designing B2B marketing strategies for suppliers, healthcare providers, and institutional clients.
  • Partner with vendors and pharmaceutical companies for joint marketing initiatives.

Hospital Marketing

  • Design patient acquisition and retention strategies (community outreach, health awareness campaigns, referral programs).
  • Collaborate with medical directors and hospital management to highlight specialty services and clinical excellence.
  • Implement targeted campaigns to improve occupancy and patient satisfaction.

Digital & CRM

  • Lead the adoption of digital healthcare marketing platforms, patient portals, and CRM systems.
  • Ensure data-driven marketing by leveraging analytics, patient data insights, and campaign performance metrics.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Build and manage a high-performing marketing team across pharmacy, distribution, and hospital units.
  • Collaborate with cluster CEOs, business heads, and corporate teams (finance, HR, IT).
  • Ensure compliance with UAE healthcare marketing regulations (MOH, DHA, DOH).
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 12–15 years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within healthcare and pharmaceuticals.
  • Proven track record in managing marketing for multi-business clusters (retail + B2B + hospital/clinical setup).
  • Strong knowledge of UAE healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in digital transformation, CRM, and data-driven marketing is highly desirable.
