Legora seeks a Director of Legal Engineering in Dubai to establish a local ME function and lead the team responsible for quality, staffing and delivery standards. You will shape relationships with regional clients and senior stakeholders while aligning Legal Engineering with Legora’s global standards.

You will manage staffing, growth and client-facing delivery, including a quarter of time spent on direct work when value justifies it. Arabic fluency is strongly preferred for regional impact.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience of sophisticated legal work in the Gulf.
• Built a team, function, market or new operating model from a low base.
• Managed and developed strong people, including managers or team leads.
• Fluent in English; Arabic language capability strongly preferred.
• Based in Dubai and able to work from the office five days per week.
• A legal qualification is expected; jurisdiction matters less than credibility with senior buyers.

Responsabilités

• Stand up the Legal Engineering function for the Middle East from the Dubai office, including its operating rhythm, quality bar, capacity and staffing model, and the local partnership with Go-to-Market and Engagement.
• Hire exceptional Legal Engineers and future leaders; build Arabic-capable coverage deliberately.
• Build a manager layer of Team Leads who own a group of Legal Engineers and create clear succession.
• Own career management for the hub, including expectations, calibration and succession.
• Give direct, evidence-based feedback; coach, set expectations and act decisively on performance or values concerns.
• Partner with regional commercial leadership on priority accounts, pilots, rollouts and escalations; connect activity to revenue.
• Lead select enterprise engagements and translate legal problems into Legora workflows and reusable playbooks.
• Maintain governance across programs with named owners, indicators and risk reviews.
• Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across the Gulf.
• Represent the region inside Legora and feed input to Product on regional needs and hosting considerations.
• Shape Legora’s viewpoint on AI in the region through client forums, events and market insight.
• Create clean handoffs across Go-to-Market, Legal Engineering and Engagement to reinforce momentum.
