Job summary

Legora in Dubai seeks a Director of Legal Engineering to establish the function in the Middle East. You will lead a senior team, maintain quality and delivery standards, and ensure alignment with Legora’s global framework while expanding local capabilities.

You will recruit and develop Arabic-capable Legal Engineers, drive regional client work, and shape the product and AI strategy for the region. Based in Dubai with regional travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in legal engineering or equivalent
• Proven ability to build and scale a regional function
• Arabic capability and strong English fluency a must

Responsibilities

• Stand up the Middle East Legal Engineering function from Dubai, incl. rhythm, quality bar, capacity and staffing
• Hire exceptional Legal Engineers and develop leaders; build Arabic-capable coverage
• Create a manager layer of Team Leads with clear succession and decision rights
• Own career management for the hub: expectations, calibration, promotions and succession
• Provide direct, evidence-based feedback and coach the team to meet the quality bar
• Partner with regional commercial leadership on accounts, pilots, rollouts and escalations
• Lead enterprise engagements, translate legal problems into Legora workflows and reusable playbooks
• Maintain governance across multi-stakeholder programs with owners and indicators
• Build trusted relationships with partners, GCs, and heads of legal operations
• Represent the region inside Legora and feed local needs to Product
• Shape Legora's stance on AI in the region with practical market insight
