Position: Head of IT
Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and align infrastructure, data centers, network connectivity, and IT Service Operations according to established goals.
- Devise and implement hospitality IT policies and systems that comply with Group policies to support strategic objectives.
- Review and establish the IT environment, including Cyber Security Framework, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and requirements.
- Oversee the implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of applications and digital services, including enterprise and digital applications.
- Establish controls to ensure compliance with General IT Controls (GITC), IT Application Controls (ITAC), System-Generated Reports, and testing of Property Management and Back Office Systems.
- Ensure compliance with ICFR and IT audits within scope of work.
- Lead Business Intelligence (BI) and IT projects, aligning with the organization’s digital strategy and implementation.
- Analyze departmental business requirements to determine technological needs.
- Procure cost-effective and efficient technological equipment and software.
- Inspect and ensure functionality and efficiency of technological equipment and software.
- Identify needs for upgrades, configurations, or new systems and report to upper management.
- Manage IT budget and report on expenditure.
- Build relationships with vendors and negotiate cost-efficient contracts.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases, data storage, and telecommunications.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across teams.
- Leadership and decision-making capabilities.
- Knowledge of project management principles.
