Job Purpose:
Lead and manage the end-to-end operations of IT infrastructure—including servers, networks, storage, backup, data centers, and cloud platforms—to ensure secure, reliable, and high-performing systems that support the critical needs of healthcare, academic, and research functions within the organization.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Manage the operation and maintenance of all IT infrastructure systems and services, including on-premises and cloud environments.
- Ensure infrastructure systems meet performance, availability, security, and compliance requirements.
- Lead infrastructure incident response and resolution, including root cause analysis and preventive actions.
- Oversee infrastructure projects including upgrades, migrations, and technology refresh initiatives.
- Coordinate with application, cybersecurity, and biomedical teams to ensure alignment of infrastructure with enterprise goals.
- Develop and enforce infrastructure-related policies, standards, and documentation.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of operational excellence and accountability.
- Participate in capacity planning, risk assessment, and budget forecasting for infrastructure services.
- Ensure timely response and coordination during major incidents or disaster recovery drills.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and propose relevant improvements to the infrastructure landscape.
Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (Required).
- Master’s degree in IT Management, Cybersecurity, or a relevant field.
- Industry certifications such as: ITIL Foundation (higher level is preferable), CCNP, Microsoft Azure, AWS Certified
Experience Requirements:
- 10 years in IT infrastructure operations.
- 5 years in leadership or managerial role, preferably in a healthcare, academic, or research setting.
- Proven experience managing hybrid infrastructure environments (on-premises + cloud).
- Experience with disaster recovery, business continuity, and compliance (e.g., ISO, HIPAA, MOHAP).
