Overview
The IT Manager is responsible for leading the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the organisation’s technology infrastructure and systems. This role oversees IT operations, manages a team of professionals and supports business objectives through effective use of technology.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with organisational goals.
- Assess emerging technologies and recommend adoption to improve efficiency.
- Manage IT budgets, forecasts, and cost optimisation.
- Oversee IT Infrastructure & Operations: installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, and networks.
- Ensure availability, performance, and reliability of IT systems.
- Manage data backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
- Lead, mentor, and develop IT staff to ensure high performance and skill growth.
- Collaborate with external vendors, service providers, and consultants.
- Negotiate and manage IT contracts, licenses, and service agreements.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure compliance with data protection, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor system security, identify vulnerabilities, and implement solutions.
- Establish IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
- User Support & Training: Provide technical support and guidance to end-users across the organisation.
- Drive user adoption of new systems and applications.
- Conduct IT training sessions for employees as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Progressive IT experience, including 3–5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Experience with ERP systems
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
