Core Responsibilities
STRATEGIC
- Participate in the strategy formulation exercise to align Information Technology with CLIENT's objectives and strategy.
- Lead the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the IT function.
- Review IT budget requirements and contribute to budget development.
- Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines, ensuring adherence.
- Manage third-party agreements related to IT and review contracts regularly.
OPERATIONAL
IT Governance
- Oversee IT projects across all phases and review project status reports.
- Develop project plans and communication strategies.
- Implement project management best practices per PMO frameworks.
IT Operations
- Direct IT infrastructure, including data centers, network devices, and protocols.
- Monitor service levels and ensure prompt maintenance of hardware/software.
- Review and approve technical designs and ensure infrastructure capacity meets needs.
- Stay updated with new technologies and recommend upgrades.
- Make product and service recommendations for infrastructure procurement.
- Support issues related to applications, network, hardware, and connectivity.
- Lead infrastructure risk analysis and develop mitigation strategies.
- Develop disaster recovery and contingency plans.
IT Applications
- Oversee IT project development, testing, and documentation.
- Prepare budget estimates and ensure resource availability.
- Plan and oversee IT project deployment lifecycle.
- Align technology requirements with strategic and operational objectives.
- Implement technology solutions for payment systems and other services.
- Ensure solutions align with industry practices and company policies.
- Manage SLA frameworks for IT solutions and projects.
IT Security
- Manage IT security operations and develop security frameworks.
- Ensure systems are reliable, secure, and perform satisfactorily.
- Oversee troubleshooting, backups, and archiving.
- Monitor help desk performance and support quality.
PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT
- Provide leadership and direction to IT team members.
- Motivate and develop staff for higher roles.
Qualifications And Experience
Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology.
Years & Nature Of Experience
12-15 years of experience, with at least 8 years in a similar role. 6+ years of UAE experience, familiar with local regulations. Proficient in Arabic and English.
