Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly experienced Head of Information Security and Data Protection to join our Technology Department in Dubai, UAE. This onsite leadership role reports directly to the Group Chief Technology Officer and oversees the Cyber Security Engineering team.

This role is responsible for safeguarding the firm's systems and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of client and employee data. The position involves implementing and managing secure systems and driving continuous improvement using Agile and ITIL best practices.

Ideal candidates are senior technologists with deep engineering expertise, strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to advise and influence the C-Suite and Board effectively.

Key Responsibilities :

• Define and implement the Information Security and Data Protection strategy aligned with organizational goals.
• Protect data against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, or destruction.
• Lead ongoing monitoring and enhancement of information security management practices.
• Act as a trusted advisor and communicator to C-Level stakeholders and internal teams.
• Promote a security-first mindset across departments including Tech, Operations, Marketing, Compliance, Customer Support, Sales, and Finance.
• Oversee security architecture, ensuring cloud platforms are protected, scalable, and resilient.
• Support and manage third-party security assessments, audits, and compliance initiatives.
• Establish InfoSec governance standards and foster a security-aware company culture.
• Conduct vendor assessments and oversee third-party SLAs and change management.
• Mentor teams, elevate security standards, and foster a collaborative engineering environment.

Qualifications :

Education :

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• MBA or relevant graduate degree is a plus.

Experience :

• 10+ years in cybersecurity leadership roles such as CISO, Security Architect, or Security Consultant.
• Proven success in financial services or fintech, with experience in regulation, audit, and controls.
• Expertise in Web3 threats, crypto asset security, and risk mitigation.
• Hands-on experience with PCI DSS (A-EP), Cyber Essentials, and ISO27001 certifications.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, agile development, and cloud-native security models.
• Experience leading in complex, global environments.
• Experience with KYC, payment processing, and trading platforms is advantageous.

Technical Skills :

• Expertise in security architecture and performance optimization for cloud environments.
• Proficiency with cloud infrastructure, DevSecOps, and secure coding practices.
• Familiarity with security tools, monitoring, and vulnerability assessment platforms.
• Understanding of risk management, compliance, and data protection regulations.
• Experience with security audits, incident response, and disaster recovery.
• Leadership in security strategies across distributed teams.
