As Head of Department, you will play a crucial role in shaping the academic direction of your subject area, leading a team of passionate educators, and ensuring that teaching and learning standards align with CCSS and 21st-century skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership in curriculum planning, development, and implementation.
- Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality instruction aligned with CCSS.
- Mentor and support faculty through professional development and performance evaluations.
- Analyse student achievement data and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
- Foster a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive department culture.
- Oversee the integration of technology and best practices into teaching (especially for ICT).
- Organize and participate in school-wide initiatives, events, and parent engagement activities.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in ICT or a related field; Master's Degree preferred.
- Teaching Qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of successful teaching experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of the US Curriculum and Common Core State Standards (CCSS).
- Proven ability to lead, inspire, and manage a team of educators.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
