Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a hands-on Head of Human Resources to take full ownership of the people function in a lean environment. The role combines strategic oversight with hands-on execution, developing HR policies and people strategies while handling day-to-day matters personally.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in HR, with leadership experience as Head of HR or standalone HR professional, and strong knowledge of UAE labour law and lifecycle HR activities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive HR experience in lean/fast-growing org.
• Previous Head of HR or standalone HR leadership experience.
• Strong hands-on experience across the full HR lifecycle.
• Solid knowledge of UAE labour law and HR practices.
• Experience managing recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation & benefits and HR operations.
• Commercially minded with strong stakeholder management.

Job description

We are looking for a highly hands-on Head of Human Resources to take full ownership of our client's organisation's people function. This is a standalone HR leadership role within a lean team, where the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full employee lifecycle from A–Z.The role requires someone who is comfortable operating both strategically and operationally — developing HR policies and people strategies while also handling day-to-day matters personally. The ideal candidate will be commercially minded, highly organised and capable of building and managing an effective HR function without relying on a large support team.

• - 8+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally within a lean, entrepreneurial or fast-growing organisation.
• - Previous experience as a Head of HR, HR Manager, HR Lead or standalone HR professional.
• - Strong hands-on experience across the full HR lifecycle.
• - Solid knowledge of UAE labour law and HR practices.
• - Experience managing recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation & benefits and HR operations.
• - Comfortable being both strategic and operational.
• - Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• - Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• - Commercially minded with the ability to understand and support business objectives.
• - Comfortable working independently and rolling up their sleeves to handle HR matters personally.
• - Experience working in a start-up, SME, scale-up or similarly lean environment would be advantageous.
