Your new role

The Freight Operations Manager will oversee the end-to-end freight forwarding operations, ensuring efficient and compliant coordination of shipments. This role involves optimising routes, managing logistics, and maintaining high standards of service delivery.

Operational Management :

• Oversee daily freight operations, including air, sea, and land shipments.
• Optimise routing and scheduling to ensure timely deliveries.
• Manage logistics and warehousing operations.

Supply Chain Coordination :

• Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and clients to streamline supply chain processes.
• Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and local customs requirements.
• Handle documentation and ensure accuracy in shipping records.
• Lead and mentor a team of operations staff.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
• Conduct regular training sessions to enhance team skills.

Client & Stakeholder Management :

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding operational issues.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
• Address and resolve client concerns promptly.
• Prepare and manage the operations budget.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality.
• Monitor financial performance and prepare regular reports for senior management.

What you'll need to succeed

• Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in freight operations, preferably in the Middle East.
• Strong understanding of international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
• Proven leadership skills and experience managing cross-functional teams.
• Excellent problem-solving and project management abilities.
• Strong communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
