Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled, hands-on finance leader to head our Finance & Accounting department. This role is pivotal in building and systemizing the department from the ground up, ensuring high standards in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and operational leadership. The ideal candidate is technically strong in accounting and tax, highly organized, can be client-facing, and capable of developing a team while being actively involved in delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and lead the Finance & Accounting department, setting systems, processes, and tools.
• Manage and mentor junior finance staff; develop training materials and SOPs.
• Own financial operations, ensuring scalability, accuracy, and accountability.
• Collaborate closely with other department leads (e.g., Legal, Structuring, Tax).
• Handle or supervise all UAE corporate tax and VAT filings (CT, VAT).
• Ensure financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, etc.) are accurate and audit-ready.
• Liaise with external authorities (FTA, auditors, legal, etc.) as required.

3. Hands-on Execution

• Step in to complete key deliverables when needed — no delegation without understanding.
• Build reporting and analysis tools using Excel, accounting software, or even AI tools where useful.
• Actively support client projects and act as a point of contact for financial matters.

4. Strategic Support

• Contribute to business planning and forecasting.
• Deliver clear, accurate reporting for internal stakeholders and investors.
• Play a leadership role in internal finance decision-making and optimization.

Ideal Profile

• 7–10 years’ experience in accounting ( IFRS ), finance, or tax in the UAE.
• Deep expertise in UAE tax (VAT & CT) and corporate financial operations.
• Strong track record in building and leading finance teams and systems.
• Excellent communication skills — client-facing and internally collaborative.
• Ambitious and entrepreneurial — willing to grow into a partner / CFO-level role.
• Mindset : solution oriented, ambitious, hungry and energetic with long-term growth mindset.
• Interested in how AI and tools around AI can help optimize.

• Starting salary 25k AED per month.
