Position Title: Head of Finance

Location: Dubai, UAE

Reporting To: Chief Executive Officer / Managing Director

Overview:

Our client, a leading provider in the FM Sector is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Finance to lead the financial function and contribute to the strategic direction of the business. The role will be responsible for all aspects of financial planning, control, compliance, and reporting, and will play a critical role in driving operational efficiency, commercial insight, and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of financial frameworks, internal controls, and operating procedures in line with legislation, IFRS, and industry best practices.
  • Define and execute comprehensive financial strategies aligned with the company’s overall business goals and objectives.
  • Provide strategic input on pricing models and revenue strategies to support business development and growth initiatives.
  • Oversee the annual budgeting process, including capital expenditures, operational expenses, and manpower planning, ensuring alignment with corporate priorities.
  • Monitor financial performance and proactively identify risks, ensuring appropriate mitigation plans are in place to safeguard the company’s financial health.
  • Lead financial forecasting and planning activities, ensuring timely and accurate projections to support executive decision-making.
  • Manage the full cycle of financial operations, including cash flow management, collections, disbursements, and treasury functions.
  • Ensure the timely preparation and analysis of accurate financial statements, reports, and management accounts.
  • Oversee month-end close activities including payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
  • Drive departmental performance by ensuring efficient, compliant, and value-driven operations across all finance functions.
  • Identify opportunities for financial innovation and lead the development of new services or processes to meet evolving business needs.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure smooth audit processes and timely resolution of all audit recommendations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions, suppliers, regulatory authorities, and other key stakeholders.
  • Lead recruitment, goal setting, and performance management for finance staff in accordance with the company’s HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure full compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements, including QHSE standards.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; Master’s degree or professional certification (CA, CPA, ACCA, CFA) preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership position within Facility Management or a similar operational environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Demonstrated success in managing teams, driving financial strategy, and partnering with executive leadership.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Previous experience in the UAE or wider GCC region is highly advantageous.
