Head of Equities Trading - Leading Bank in the UAE

We are seeking a Senior Head of Equities Business to help build and manage the bank's equities division.

• The role involves leading the bank's equities initiative. The candidate should be well-versed in various aspects of equities business, including regulatory setup, infrastructure requirements, markets, and risk management. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Market Makers (MM) to establish the equities trading desk.
• Once the initial setup is complete, or if the candidate joins after the setup, they will be responsible for generating revenue and expanding the desk.
• The ideal candidate comes from a diverse background, such as a senior equity strategist, investment or hedge fund portfolio manager, or experience on a bank trading desk. Familiarity with options and experience across multiple markets (US, Europe, etc.) is preferred.
• Candidates with direct P&L production experience will be prioritized.
• A proactive, entrepreneurial attitude and the ability to work from scratch are essential qualities.
