Job description

We are urgently hiring an English subject specialist to be appointed as The Head of English for our well reputed British curriculum School. We prefer candidates who can join immediately. Ideal candidate must demonstrate:
• Outstanding standards of teaching and learning.
• Leadership in relation to curriculum initiatives, and co-ordination of a range of classes as per curriculum standards.
• The Head of English will facilitate student learning with the department to enable all students to achieve to their fullest potential.
• Leading and managing the English department including, modelling best practice in teaching English, implementation of curriculum, monitoring progress and attainment of students and effectiveness of teachers.
• Record keeping requirements and ensuring fair and effective assessment procedures.
• Ensuring continued innovation in the teaching of English.
• Providing opportunities of enrichment for gifted & talented and students with special needs.
• Experience in Strategic Planning.
• Conducting professional development training.
• Handling efficient and effective deployment of staff and resources.
