We are looking for a Head of Engineering to lead our Engineering department and be part of this exciting journey of continuous growth and success.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Head of Engineering will be responsible for identifying short- and long-term technological solutions and playing a key role in defining the company’s technology strategy.

As a member of the executive leadership team, the Head of Engineering will focus on building a high-caliber tech culture and vision, enhancing digital experiences, improving existing systems, and leading all software development, mobile development, architecture, and quality assurance teams composed of top talent.

What we expect from you :

• Enhance the digital experience for Justlife web and app users through product and technology improvements via software development.
• Collaborate closely with the Product team to build effective cross-functional teams to deliver products and features aligned with company goals.
• Partner with external and internal stakeholders to drive the technology roadmap.
• Create an environment that promotes engineering excellence by attracting and retaining high-performing talent from diverse backgrounds, and designing effective organizational structures, processes, systems, and tools.
• Identify opportunities to incorporate emerging technologies into Justlife’s operations and practices.
• Foster innovation and differentiation to set Justlife apart from competitors.
• Manage operational and capital budgets to optimize financial aspects of technology development and deployment.

What we are looking for :

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field.
• 8 to 10 years of managerial experience in high-revenue, high-traffic marketplace or e-commerce companies.
• Extensive experience building complex, large-scale digital systems and marketplace applications.
• Proven ability to oversee multiple complex tech projects across various countries, including managing business technologies, software development, and vendor relationships.
• Deep knowledge of software engineering lifecycle, web architecture, and development of scalable products using diverse technologies and languages.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, program management, and engineering execution.
• Proven track record in hiring, building, and leading top-tier engineering teams.
• Strong skills in relationship management, strategy development, project management, problem-solving, and change management.
• Solid understanding of business models and how to leverage technology to streamline operations.
• Ability to integrate technology activities into overall corporate strategy and foster relationships across the organization.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both technical and non-technical.
