Job summary

Wood seeks an experienced Head of Discipline Engineering (Electrical) to lead the Electrical group for onshore and offshore projects in the Abu Dhabi region. You will drive technical excellence, governance, and safe delivery while aligning with Wood’s strategic goals and client expectations.

The role requires business‑savvy leadership, deep discipline knowledge, and a proven ability to develop and mentor high‑performing teams across multi‑cultural environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 25 years of experience in onshore and offshore mega projects (Capex >$2B).
• Minimum 5 years of Head of Discipline experience.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical discipline engineering standards and codes.
• Proven leadership of large engineering teams across regions.

Responsibilities

• Drive engineering excellence within the Electrical discipline for onshore and offshore projects across the region.
• Ensure safe, high-quality delivery and governance of discipline practices.
• Provide leadership to Lead Discipline Engineers and oversee all discipline activities.
• Support continuous improvement and adoption of new technologies.
• Model the company values and uphold safety, ethics and inclusivity.
