Job description

The Head of marketing will spearhead initiatives to scale the e-commerce vertical, drive revenue, and enhance customer experience across the platform. This role requires a data-driven, customer focused leader with a deep understanding of the fintech and e-commerce ecosystems. The role requires drive brand awareness in the markets we operate in, whilst facilitating increased user penetration in the region. Experience in interpreting consumer trends, audience and data insights and translating into relevant Ecommerce campaigns.

This position will lead YOUGotaGift marketing strategy, communications, brand management as well as event planning, coordinating and liaising with both internal and external stakeholders in implementing brand awareness and communication plan.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Growth Leadership

• Develop and execute a comprehensive e-commerce growth strategy for UAE and KSA.
• Identify growth opportunities across B2C and B2B segments, ensuring scalability and profitability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, marketing, engineering) to align growth strategies.
• Set, monitor, and report on Marketing Department goals & metrics.

E-Commerce Optimization

• Drive enhancements in the user experience to improve conversion rates and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee site performance, SEO, A / B testing, and personalization strategies to maximize traffic and sales.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize the sales funnel and reduce cart abandonment.
• Manage the performance and output of all digital & PR agencies and freelancers and ensure the best outcome.
• Manage Saudi content localization and ensure Saudi market growth output.
• Grow eCommerce & Group Gifts through data analytics, personalization, automation, segmentation, and communications.

Customer Acquisition & Retention

• Lead customer acquisition campaigns across paid, organic, and affiliate channels.
• Implement loyalty programs to boost retention and repeat purchase rates.
• Leverage data insights to refine targeting and segmentation strategies.

Data-Driven Decision Making

• Establish KPIs and dashboards to track and report on e-commerce performance.
• Analyze data to inform growth strategies, identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

Communications & Brand positioning

• Lead and elevate our brand presence at YOUGotaGift.
• Shape our messaging, drive engagement, launch impactful campaigns, and strengthen our market positioning regionally, with a strong docs on KSA and UAE.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive communication strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Build and manage a high-performing e-commerce growth team.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Coordinate sales and marketing efforts to boost brand awareness and the optimal marketing output

Budgeting

• Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets for the Marketing Department according to priorities & ROI.
• Identify opportunities to reach new market segments and expand market share

Experience & Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• 15+ years of experience in digital marketing, e-commerce growth, with a focus on fintech or marketplaces.
• Proven track record of scaling e-commerce platforms in regional markets (UAE and KSA preferred).
• Strong knowledge of e-commerce platforms, digital marketing tools, and analytics.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
