Job Description

• Lead, manage, and develop the subject teaching and learning within the school, including monitoring, analysis, and evaluation.
• Lead the department’s strategic and operational development.
• Raise standards of pupil attainment and achievement across the curriculum, monitoring and supporting pupil progress.
• Be accountable for pupil progress and develop teaching practices.
• Ensure a broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum for pupils.
• Provide enrichment opportunities for gifted & talented students and those with special needs.
• Contribute to strategic planning, SEF, and SIP.
• Experience teaching English in a UK curriculum school.
• Ensure continued innovation in English teaching.
• Manage and deploy staff and resources effectively to support the department development plan.

Qualifications and Requirements

• M.A, B.Ed / Ph.D. in English, with certificates attested from UAE.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role.
• Experience as an English HOD is highly preferred.
• Understanding of KHDA school inspection framework.
• Strong leadership skills.
