Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
• Master's degree in CS or related specialization is preferred.
• B.Ed. or M.Ed. qualification is required.
• Excellent command of English, written and spoken.
• Experience teaching CS in the UK curriculum with examination knowledge.
• Leadership experience in a UAE CS department is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of programming, algorithms, computational thinking and digital technologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organisational and team-management skills.
• Must be currently available in the UAE.

The ideal candidate will be a passionate educator with strong subject expertise, proven leadership skills, and a commitment to integrating technology into teaching and learning while raising student achievement and academic standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Computer Science Department to ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and academic achievement.
• Work closely with teachers to enhance their subject knowledge, teaching methodologies, and pedagogical practices, resulting in improved student outcomes.
• Oversee curriculum planning, assessment, and departmental development initiatives in line with the UK curriculum.
• Promote the effective use of technology and digital tools to enhance teaching and learning.
• Collaborate with school leadership to drive academic excellence and continuous improvement.
• Monitor and support the quality of teaching and learning within the department, maintaining a minimum standard of "Good" teaching across all lessons.
• Ensure compliance with UAE educational standards and relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Analyse student performance data and implement strategies to improve attainment and progress.
• Support the development of students' digital literacy, problem-solving abilities, computational thinking, and practical programming skills.
• Undertake additional responsibilities associated with the effective leadership and management of the department.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
• Master's degree in Computer Science or a relevant specialisation is preferred.
• Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or Master of Education (M.Ed.).
• Strong command of the English language, both written and spoken.
• Proven experience teaching Computer Science within the UK curriculum, with a strong understanding of relevant examination specifications.
• Previous leadership experience within a Computer Science Department in the UAE is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of programming, algorithms, computational thinking, and digital technologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organisational, and team-management skills.
• Must be currently available in the UAE.
