Job Description

The Head of Credit Card Sales will lead the strategic planning, development, and execution of credit card sales initiatives across various channels including direct sales, digital platforms, and partnerships. This leadership role involves driving portfolio growth, managing high-performance sales teams, and ensuring alignment with UAE Central Bank regulations and organizational risk policies. The role requires a strong understanding of consumer banking, product development, and the UAE financial services landscape.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and executing strategic plans to increase credit card acquisition, activation, and usage across the UAE market.
  • Leading and mentoring sales teams, setting performance goals, and ensuring delivery of monthly and annual targets.
  • Identifying and nurturing strategic partnerships with retail outlets, fintech companies, and corporate clients for co-branded card initiatives.
  • Overseeing product training, incentive planning, and daily sales operations to maximize productivity and compliance.
  • Collaborating with marketing, product, and risk teams to design competitive credit card offerings and campaigns.
  • Monitoring and analyzing market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities to inform product positioning and sales strategies.
  • Ensuring all sales activities are fully compliant with UAE Central Bank guidelines and internal risk management frameworks.
  • Preparing and presenting sales forecasts, performance reports, and strategic updates to executive leadership.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in retail banking, with a strong focus on credit card sales and leadership.
  • Proven track record in managing large sales teams and driving results across direct and indirect sales channels in the UAE.
  • In-depth knowledge of UAE banking regulations, credit risk policies, and Central Bank requirements.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and develop actionable strategies.
  • Fluency in English is required; Arabic is a strong advantage for local market engagement.
