About the Role
We are hiring on behalf of a leading FMCG client seeking a Head of Commercial to drive end-to-end ownership of revenue growth, trade strategy, and market execution. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for aligning commercial vision with operational agility across multiple product lines, channels, and geographies.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the Commercial Strategy: Develop and execute regional commercial plans across modern trade, general trade, e-commerce, and emerging channels.
- Sales Leadership: Drive national sales targets, manage P&L performance, and build a high-performing sales team.
- Channel Development: Deepen distribution penetration and optimize route-to-market strategies across priority markets.
- Revenue Growth Management (RGM): Lead pricing, promotions, mix management, and category margin optimization.
- Customer Partnerships: Build senior-level partnerships with key accounts, distributors, and retail groups.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Align with marketing, supply chain, and finance on demand forecasting, NPD launches, and operational efficiencies.
- Market Insights & Intelligence: Use real-time data to guide commercial decision-making and stay ahead of competitive trends.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 10–15 years of progressive commercial leadership experience in FMCG or consumer goods.
- Proven track record in sales leadership, P&L ownership, and driving revenue growth in complex environments.
- Strong exposure to distributor management, trade marketing, and cross-border markets (if applicable).
- Sharp commercial acumen with strong analytical, negotiation, and people leadership skills.
- Experience in both strategy and execution — not just managing, but building and evolving commercial engines.
