Microavia is a leader in the development and manufacturing of innovative drones, located in the Silicon Oasis area of Dubai. We are committed to creating the technologies of the future, ensuring high quality and functionality of our products.

In MICROAVIA we are developing a drone-in-a-box solution for critical infrastructure & perimeter surveillance. The heart of the system is server-side software that puts together drones, landing stations, client computers, and other devices. Users have full control over any drone connected to the system, including live video streaming. Operation of the system is highly automated, server software controls all operations : performing flights according to schedule, battery swap, preflight checks, missions uploading, downloading high resolution data after flight, and many other necessary things. A typical setup may count up to 100 drones-in-a-box.

We develop all mechanics, electronics, on-board and ground software ourselves, which allows us to effectively integrate all components with each other and quickly solve issues and implement new features.

Microavia is seeking a Head of Business Development – Europe to lead and expand our commercial presence across the European market. This role is central to driving revenue, establishing strategic partnerships, and positioning Microavia as a trusted technology partner in the UAV and aerospace sectors across Europe. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong network, deep understanding of the regional regulatory and business environment, and a passion for emerging drone technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Growth & Sales Leadership

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy for the European market, aligned with Microavia’s global goals.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, strategic accounts, and regional partnerships to drive sustainable revenue growth.
  • Define pricing, sales forecasts, and go-to-market plans tailored to key European sectors including critical infrastructure, public safety, and defense.

Partnerships & Market Expansion in Europe

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with European industry leaders, government stakeholders, integrators, and enterprise customers.
  • Develop high-value partnerships with distributors, resellers, and enterprise clients in the UAV and defense sectors.
  • Represent Microavia at European trade shows, exhibitions, and strategic forums to strengthen brand visibility and unlock new market segments.
  • Conduct market research to assess European trends, customer needs, and competitor positioning.
  • Work closely with R&D, engineering, and product teams to align product offerings with market demand.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies for new product launches and expansion into new territories.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years in business development, strategic partnerships, or enterprise sales, ideally in UAV, aerospace, robotics, or dual-use technologies.
  • Demonstrated success in closing high-value deals and managing long sales cycles in Europe.
  • Familiarity with the European regulatory landscape for drones (e.g., CE certification, EASA frameworks).
  • Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Deep understanding of the drone technology market, regulations, and industry trends.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; Fluent English, additional European languages (e.g., German, French) are a plus.

Conditions

  • Location : Remote (based in Europe)
  • Working hours : 9 : 00 AM – 6 : 00 PM, Monday to Friday
  • Travel : Frequent travel across Europe and occasional travel to Dubai, UAE is expected
  • Work in a fast-paced, international team with a strong focus on innovation and technical excellence
