Nadia`s client, a well established group of companies requires a Head of Business Development with 10 plus years of professional business development, partnership, alliances and / or joint ventures or other related experiences.

Position Overview :

Responsible for sourcing & evaluating new strategic business opportunities, initiatives, partnerships, alliances and / or joint ventures in diverse business sectors regionally and globally. This role involves implementing Group Growth Strategy, generating a strong pipeline of partners, fostering relationships, and managing and growing the strategic and financial value from partnerships. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, business insight, and robust relationship management skills in different business lines and global locations.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Prospect and develop a business pipeline by identifying and cultivating relationships with potential partners and referral sources.
  • Source new potential Business partners, new alliances and / or joint ventures across multiple deal archetypes that can significantly create new monetization opportunities.
  • Design and manages partner programs, including responding to requests from potential partners, evaluating partnership opportunities and concluding partnership deals.
  • Develop and implement an effective Group Growth Strategy that aligns with the company's broader business goals.
  • Evaluate new opportunities with partners, provide strategic direction, and secure buy-ins from various internal organizations.
  • Define and execute deals; negotiate large, multifaceted agreements.
  • Collaborate closely with partners to enhance the strategic and financial value of each partnership.
  • Maintain executive-level business relationships with key partners.

Financial Analysis : Proficiency in analyzing financial statements, ratios, and metrics to assess the financial health of investments and partnerships.

Risk Assessment : Ability to identify, evaluate, and quantify risk associated with partnership opportunities.

Due Diligence and Evaluation : Conduct financial analysis, market research, and risk assessments.

Portfolio Construction : Design diversified investment & partnership portfolios aligned with strategic goals and optimize asset allocation to maximize returns and minimize risks.

Market Analysis : Stay updated on global market trends and sector-specific developments and identify new opportunities and mitigate risks based on market insights.

Compliance and Risk Management : Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Relationship Management : Maintain relationships with partners, fund managers, advisors, and stakeholders.

Key Performance Indicators (Max 5 / min 3)

  • Portfolio Performance : Measures return on investments compared to benchmarks or targets.
  • Accuracy of forecast : Track the percentage of accurate investment / partnership predictions and recommendations.
  • Research Timeliness : Measures of how promptly market research and analysis are completed.
  • Risk-Adjusted Return : Assesses return based on the level of risk taken.
  • Report Quality : Evaluates thoroughness, clarity, and the usefulness of financial reports and presentations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
  • 10+ years of professional business development, partnership, or other related experiences.
  • Skilled in using financial modeling tools, market research platforms, and project management software.
  • Knowledge of international and regional markets in private equity and real estate.
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty and ambiguity
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects.
  • Experience with establishing and maintaining C-level relationships at partner companies.
