Job description

As the Head of Brands Asian Beauty, you will be strategically responsible for driving the commercial, and operational performance of a portfolio of Asian beauty brands alongside the growth of high-potential private label brands. Operating across the GCC region, the you will ensures brands are localized effectively, perform commercially, and are well-positioned to lead in their categories across multi-channel retail landscapes.

The role requires a deep understanding of Asian beauty markets, exceptional cross-functional leadership, and the agility to scale emerging brands while optimizing mature ones.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Brand Strategy & Portfolio Development

  • Lead long-term vision for the category, conduct portfolio diagnostics, identify assortment or positioning gaps and scout for brands with potential.
  • Develop business plans in line with the strategic direction of the brand owner and in collaboration with the Key Account Manager.
  • Localize global brand narratives and build differentiated go-to-market strategies for each brand across channels
  • Build and scale private label brands, owning product development through to launch.
  • Define and deliver annual sales and bottom-line targets as well as budgets for all brands across selective retail, pharmacy, and e-commerce.
  • Collaborate strategically with suppliers, marketing, merchandising and regional teams to negotiate commercial conditions (margin, animations, exclusivity).
  • Optimize pricing architecture, product lifecycle, and sell-in/sell-out performance using data-driven decision making.
  • Oversee field execution quality, POS productivity, and beauty advisor performance.
  • Be accountable for solving all problems related to the commercial, logistic and marketing side of the assigned brands
  • Generate reports and analytics on budget tracking, marketing activities, and ROI analysis.

Brand Development & Marketing

  • Build and implement marketing strategies for a diverse portfolio of Asian brands, including the conceptualization and launch of new private label brands.
  • Plan marketing budget and lead 360 marketing campaigns from strategy to execution, including campaign planning, media and agency briefing and selection.
  • Own ATL execution (PR seeding, influencer marketing, events, asset creation) in coordination with agencies and creative teams.
  • Collaborate with PR/ influencer agencies and nurture relationships with relevant influencers, KOLs in the region.
  • Oversee, approve, and track BTL marketing spend, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and execution by Trade Marketing.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee business health including demand planning, inventory management, regulatory compliance, and launch execution.
  • Manage contracts with brands and request legal advisory where needed.
  • Lead operational KPIs such as availability, OTIF (On Time In Full), and productivity targets and ensure optimization of supply chain processes to protect margins.
  • Manage investments (network and digital) and manage budgets

Financial & Performance Oversight

  • Own full P&L accountability for the brand portfolio.
  • Set the yearly fiscal and manpower budgets of the brands with plans and need.
  • Cascade commercial KPIs to teams; monitor performance rigorously to identify corrective levers.
  • Monitor and report on marketing and category performance, competitive positioning, and growth levers.
  • Analyze and prepare reports for major brands and groups about their performance.

What you ll need to succeed

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in beauty, luxury, or consumer brands with proven exposure to Asian beauty brands.
  • Fluency in Korean is a big plus. Fluency in English is a must.
  • Passion and deep understanding of Asian beauty, consumer innovation, and global trend sensitivity
  • You would be based in Dubai or willing to relocate to Dubai
  • Prior P&L ownership, general management, or brand portfolio leadership.
  • Successful track record in scaling brands across multi-channel retail environments in the GCC.
  • Deep understanding of retail dynamics, especially within K-beauty / J-beauty / C-beauty.
  • Strategic thinking with commercial acumen and creative brand storytelling.
  • Excellent cross-functional leadership, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities
  • Entrepreneurial and self-starter mindset.
  • Agile, data-driven, and capable of thriving in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
