Job description

The Head of Brand & Communications will be responsible for building a world-class, locally relevant, and customer-centric brand across MENAT by developing a long-term brand communication framework, delivering culturally resonant content, and measuring its impact on brand health and customer perception.

Reporting to the Head of XCM (MENAT), she/he will work as part of the broader MENAT marketing leadership team, with frequent collaboration across Worldwide and Emerging Markets teams as well as local category and retail marketing leads. She/he will lead the development of compelling, insight-led brand campaigns that span ATL, digital, and social platforms, with a strong emphasis on regional relevance, youth engagement, and creative innovation.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining and executing the brand strategy across all MENAT locales, translating it into locally nuanced, full-funnel marketing campaigns. She/he will oversee the briefing and development process with creative and media agencies, drive connections planning to ensure 360-degree delivery of consistent brand storytelling across channels, and tailor messaging to address different customer segments and age groups across key countries such as Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE.

To deliver effective, high-performing campaigns, she/he will work hand in hand with our Media and Portfolio team to ensure strategic investment planning, channel mix optimization, and seamless amplification of brand messaging across touchpoints. Equally, she/he will partner closely with our Insights and Research team to ground all communication in strong regional customer understanding, identify evolving cultural trends, and continuously measure brand health to inform creative direction and future strategy.

Ideal Candidate:

· You have deep local experience of building consumer facing brands in MENA

· You have proven experience in creative development process from a creative agency angle, and have worked closely with creatives to deliver on briefs

· You have strong customer focus and can identify consumer insights and analyze data deeply

· You have success developing strongly differentiated positioning and segmentation strategies for consumer products/categories that have met or exceeded business objectives

· You have developed large scale integrated marketing campaigns for highly visible consumer products/brands, worked in regional roles, and managed deployment across local teams

· You have qualified and developed best in class creative for regional markets within a global brand framework

· You have proven experience in ATL media strategy, planning, and execution

· You have proven experience planning and developing digital brand and media campaigns across key channels that support customer engagement

· You can think strategically about an entire product line-up, brand, and company to see how all the elements best fit together

· You like getting your hands dirty in day-to-day tasks to get things done

· You are known for rigorous testing, measurement and iteration to improve results continuously

Key job responsibilities

-Develop and execute the image and voice of the Amazon Egypt brand

-Ensure brand consistency of creative and communication assets throughout all marketing channels

-Measure campaign results and optimize current and future campaigns

-Establish and maintain a high level of communication and transparency throughout the organization

-Partner with cross-functional teams to assess where there are message ready opportunities for products or categories to engage in mass communications to support Amazons overall communication strategies

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 9+ years of marketing experience

- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs

- Experience developing and executing campaigns across a multitude of timezones and languages

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience driving direction and alignment with large cross-functional teams and agency partners

- Experience designing and executing joint marketing plans with strategic alliance partners with global footprint
