The successful candidate will be required to show leadership in securing standards of excellence in teaching and learning and will have the necessary skills needed to devise a curriculum which will stimulate and motivate students to achieve. They will be expected to oversee and line manage the delivery of art throughout the school including the primary phase, where two art teachers are employed but should themselves be secondary practitioners with a track record of exam success. There is a very strong enrichment programme at the school and the successful candidate will be expected to make a contribution to this. The school is currently offering Edexcel GCSE and A-Level Art and A Level Photography with excellent facilities and resources in place to support this key department.
