Job summary

Atlantis Dubai is seeking a Head Mermaid - Aquatic Performance to lead the Mermaid program across underwater and dry activations. The role combines active underwater performance with leadership responsibilities, safety oversight, and guest experiences.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years in aquatic/performance roles and 2+ years in management, with Mermaid certification mandatory. Availability for evenings, weekends, and special events is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of aquatic or guest-facing performance experience.
• 2+ years in management, supervision, coaching, or program leadership.
• Mermaid certification is required; instructor-level preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Mermaid team and establish safety, professionalism, performance, and guest interaction standards.
• Represent the Mermaid program as its operational leader and ambassador.
• Oversee choreography for underwater shows, meet-and-greets, children’s parties, and events.
• Review and refresh performance content to keep experiences engaging and innovative.
• Maintain show quality across underwater and dry activities.
• Conduct monthly performance discussions and development sessions.
• Coordinate rehearsals, safety drills, and training sessions.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and career development.
• Assess performer readiness and progression fairly.
• Prepare daily schedules for shows and guest interactions.
