Primary Responsibilities:

• The candidate should be able to cook Udupi vegetarian snacks and lunch very well.
• A list of products that the cook needs to be able to demonstrate is enclosed with this job description.
• The candidate should assist the owner in deciding the menu, food groupings, cooking time analysis, equipment purchase, and assist in business advice.
• The candidate will need to demonstrate cooking as part of the recruitment process before an employment offer is made.

Personal Attributes:

• Candidate should be willing to listen and not be stuck in their own mindset. This is a new business, and the candidate should appreciate that there will be substantial need for flexibility in terms of work times, requests, menu, etc.

Communication Skills:

• Very good oral skills
• Basic ability to understand customer requirements that will be written in English

Languages Known:

• Kannada: Mandatory
• Tulu: Optional
