Job summary

Yas Plaza Hotels in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Chef de Cuisine to oversee the daily culinary operations of our Italian restaurant, ensuring authentic, high-quality cuisine and exceptional dining experiences. You will lead the kitchen team, manage food quality, safety, and cost controls to support the hotel's financial objectives.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in culinary roles, with 2–3 years as Sous Chef or CDC in upscale Italian venues or luxury hotels, plus strong knowledge of Italian

Qualifications

• Culinary Arts, Professional Cookery, or Hospitality Management Degree.
• 5–7 years of culinary experience with 2–3 years as Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine in upscale Italian venues or luxury hotels.
• Excellent food safety and health regulations knowledge.
• Familiarity with restaurant management and service software.
• Excellent organisation and communication skills.
• Stocktaking and inventory management experience.
• Strong knowledge of authentic Italian cuisine and regional specialties.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all activities in own kitchen, including production and staff management.
• Maximise guest satisfaction while controlling costs and profitability margins.
• Ensure adherence to food quality, preparation, recipes and presentation standards.
• Staffing and supply management for all stations; coordinate with service staff.
• Ensure safety, hygiene and sanitation practices are followed.
• Coordinate kitchen operations with other food & beverage departments.
