Responsibilities:
To be responsible for continually improving and maintaining the overall bar standards, while supporting the smooth operation of the bar to ensure all guests receive excellent service and care.
To support the Beverage Manager in the training and development of junior members of staff.
To direct the setting up of the department, ensuring all necessary work is completed prior to the commencement of service.
Managing employees ensuring that the department is maintaining its agreed level of operating performance, correct standards and methods of service.
To have a thorough knowledge of all menu and beverage list offerings to maximize sales opportunities.
To notify staff of all menu changes, specialties, event menus and changes to standards prior to the commencement of service.
To manage any issues, comments or complaints that have arisen during service to management.
To ensure a thorough and proper handover between the Bar Staff according to the shift pattern.
To comply with all legal requirements of storing procedures, shelf life and expiration dates.
Adhere to current legislation regarding hygiene, licensing laws, weights and measures.
To have a working knowledge and understanding of financials, which includes GP, cost control and stock management.
To take responsibility and accountability for your entire role by supporting the restaurant and kitchen operations and delivering seamless service with high levels of customer satisfaction.
