Job description

As a Head Barista, you will promote coffee consumption at the resort through storytelling, upselling, and monitoring beverage service.

All members of the Food & Beverage Department are responsible for ensuring that hotel visitors are delighted by the quality, creativity, and variety of our food and beverage offerings across the hotel, making F&B a key differentiator in the local market.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership and Team Management

  • Lead and motivate a team of baristas to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Train new employees in barista skills, coffee preparation, and customer interaction.
  • Schedule shifts and manage staffing to ensure efficient operations.

Customer Service

  • Create a welcoming and friendly environment for customers.
  • Address concerns and resolve service issues promptly and professionally.
  • Promote loyalty programs and special offers to enhance satisfaction and retention.

Inventory and Supply Management

  • Oversee inventory levels and order supplies timely, maintaining stock of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other ingredients.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and competitive pricing for coffee-related products.

Operational Efficiency

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar, equipment, and seating areas.
  • Implement health and safety standards, including food safety protocols and cleanliness regulations.

Promotions and Marketing

  • Work with management to develop marketing strategies to increase customer traffic and sales.
  • Create innovative promotions and events to attract new customers and engage the local community.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role.
  • Luxury hotel experience is required.
  • Passion for excellent service.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ensure beverages meet high standards, following recipes and quality guidelines.
  • Monitor coffee bean freshness and maintain equipment for optimal extraction.
  • Implement quality control measures to deliver premium coffee products consistently.
