Job summary

Dusit hotel in Ajman is seeking an experienced handyman to maintain resort facilities and public areas. You will perform repairs, painting, and fabrication of simple fixtures to keep the property looking pristine.

The role requires careful workmanship, the ability to supervise assigned handyman hosts, and proactive reporting to the supervisor on progress and issues. A minimum of secondary school education and at least four years of relevant experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Secondary education required.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in handyman/maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out handyman work orders promptly and correctly.
• Repair furniture and fixtures.
• Paint and touch up resort buildings, installations, public areas.
• Inspect, repair, and fabricate simple fixtures.
• Supervise handyman hosts assigned.
• Prepare work plans and report status to supervisor.
• Maintain tools, materials and equipment.

Job description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure ‘handyman’ work orders are carried out promptly and correctly.
• Repair of any furniture.
• Paint and touch up of resort buildings, installations, restaurant, toilets, LIFE & Just Kids, Spa and other public areas
• Repair of fixtures.
• Fabrication of simple fixtures
• All repairs and changes under the ‘handyman’ specifications
• All equipment and fixtures cleaning and fixing
• To renovate any interior and exterior features
• Look after tools, materials and equipment
• To supervise, lead and guide the handyman hosts assigned
• To check and approve all training records and schedules
• To approve any leave applications and or calls
• To QC, check and inspect any works in progress and done/completed
• To prepare and discuss works and status with Supervisor
• To report status and pending matters to superior

OTHERS

• Continuous learning through own IDP.
• Any other duties as may be assigned by the superior.
