Job summary

Confidential in Abu Dhabi is seeking a QA Engineer to perform system tests, integration testing, and sanity checks on developer branches, collaborating with the engineering team to ensure quality code. You will prepare test environments in Linux/networked setups, create and execute scripted and exploratory tests, and validate builds from the upstream platform team.

The role is hands-on with a focus on manual testing and small scripts rather than full automation.

Qualifications

Hands-on QA in Linux/network environments with test execution and issue reporting.
Fluent English communication and clear defect documentation.
Ability to read technical specs and translate to test scenarios.
Experience with Jira or similar issue-tracking tools and Git-based workflows.
Basic scripting to set up environments and triage issues.

Responsibilities

Prepare systems and test environments (installation, configuration, network setup).
Retrieve and validate build artifacts from upstream teams for testing.
Execute scripted and exploratory tests across networked components.
Perform manual functional, regression, and smoke testing.
Collect logs and evidence; file clear defect reports and verify fixes.
Communicate status, risks and readiness to stakeholders.
