Job summary

A Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and 2–3 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 2–3 years of production, workshop, or manufacturing operations experience.
• Previous supervisory experience is required.
• Experience in mechanical, fabrication, or manufacturing industries.
• Strong understanding of workshop production activities and material requirements.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, production documents, and specifications.
• Good leadership, coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to quality, workplace organization, and Health and Safety.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize production activities according to priorities.
• Ensure materials, tools, drawings, and resources are available on time.
• Maintain document control for production monitoring and tracking.
• Monitor quality to meet drawings, specifications and standards.
• Provide hands-on guidance and supervision to workers.
• Train, monitor, and supervise workshop employees for productivity and compliance.
• Report delays, shortages, quality issues, and operational concerns.
• Keep workshop areas clean, organized, and safe at all times.
• Coordinate with logistics for material movement, loading and off-loading.
• Maintain production records and report to the Direct Line Manager.
• Adhere to Health & Safety procedures and promote a safe environment.
• Support continuous improvement to boost productivity and efficiency.
