Job description

Guest Service Agent

We are seeking a friendly and professional Guest Service Agent to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Greeting guests upon arrival and assisting with the check-in process.
  2. Handling check-out procedures, including billing and payment processing.
  3. Addressing guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally.
  4. Providing information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions.
  5. Managing room reservations and cancellations using the hotel’s booking system.
  6. Assisting with modifications to existing reservations.
  7. Relaying messages and information to guests and team members.
  8. Coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance teams to fulfill guest requests.
  9. Promoting hotel services and amenities, including room upgrades and special packages.
  10. Handling payments and maintaining accurate financial records.
  11. Ensuring adherence to hotel policies and procedures, especially concerning safety and security.
  12. Handling emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
  13. Maintaining accurate guest records and documentation.
  14. Assisting with inventory management of supplies and amenities.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality management or a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in customer service or the hospitality industry is preferred.
  • Familiarity with hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems.
  • Basic math skills for handling payments and transactions.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
