Guest Relations and Operations Supervisor

Job Title: Guest Relations and Operations Supervisor

Location: Dubai

Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary:

Propigo is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Guest Relations and Operations Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our vacation rental properties and ensure exceptional guest experiences. This dual-role position combines responsibilities for managing guest relations and supervising property operations, including staff coordination, maintenance, and administrative duties.

Important to note: Propigo is in startup-mode and while we completely value work-life balance, we are keen to bring in a team player, who is ready to roll up his/her sleeves and perform any tasks needed by the hour. A successful candidate will need to be flexible on hours and days of work.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Relations:

  • Welcome Guests: Greet guests upon arrival and ensure a smooth check-in process. Provide information about the property, amenities, and local attractions.
  • Guest Assistance: Handle and respond to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally. Ensure that all guest needs are met and address issues effectively.
  • Personalized Services: Offer personalized recommendations and assistance with reservations, transportation, and local activities. Arrange special requests and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Feedback Collection: Gather guest feedback through surveys and direct interactions. Use this information to improve services and enhance the guest experience.

Operations Management:

  • Staff Supervision: Oversee and coordinate the activities of housekeeping, maintenance, and other support staff. Provide training, mentorship, and performance evaluations. Manage staff schedules and time-off requests.
  • Property Maintenance: Ensure all properties are well-maintained and in excellent condition. Conduct regular inspections and coordinate repairs with external vendors as needed.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory of supplies such as linens, toiletries, and cleaning products. Ensure properties are stocked and prepared for guest arrivals.
  • Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality standards for all properties. Monitor guest feedback and reviews to identify areas for improvement and ensure consistent service.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all properties comply with local regulations and safety standards. Implement safety protocols and conduct regular safety inspections.
  • Health and Safety: Maintain a safe and clean environment for guests and staff. Address any safety concerns promptly.

Qualifications:

  • Work Experience: Previous experience in Dubai in a guest relations, customer service, or hospitality management is preferred. Supervisory or management experience is a plus.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality management or a related field is a plus.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with property management software and basic computer skills. Knowledge of maintenance and repair tasks is beneficial.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English, with additional language skills being an asset.
  • Availability: Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays. We measure you by outcome and not by hours at work.
