GTR Field Sales Specialist - Middle East/Africa

Overview

This role focuses on developing and accelerating Brown-Forman brands in the MEA Travel Retail channel, guided by our brand building philosophy and global brand strategies. You will spend time at airport retail outlets, build customer relationships, mentor Brand Consultants, and help make key decisions that support growth. You will lead our team of Brand Consultants in the region and work closely with customers and internal teams.

What You Can Expect
  • Focus on UAE for 50% of the time and the remaining MEA region for the other 50%.
  • Visit airport Duty Free outlets to develop insights from the shop floor.
  • Ensure predefined presence and availability of Brown-Forman brands on the shop floor.
  • Build relationships with purchasing and shop floor contacts to identify profitable growth opportunities and influence store presence.
  • Partner with the Customer Marketing team to support flawless execution of brand-building activities and evaluate outcomes for future recommendations.
  • Recruit, lead, train, motivate & evaluate Brand Consultants in the region.
  • Manage investments and advise on actions that support the region’s P&L.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service, Supply Chain, and suppliers to ensure timely stock and materials for promotions & activations.
  • Input into monthly & quarterly performance reviews for MEA TR.
  • Support pricing, listing, and space negotiations with customers.
  • Manage the P&Ls of assigned customers to develop readiness for future account management roles in commercial.
What You Bring to the Table
  • Minimum 4 years of field sales experience, including recruiting and leading sales teams in a similar role.
  • Training and mentorship capabilities to build a strong sales team.
  • Proven ability to develop strong working relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to negotiate, inform, and make decisions.
  • Strong analytical and commercial skills with experience in operational planning, investment management, and brand performance review.
  • Ability to communicate in written and spoken English (business language in the region).
What Makes You Unique
  • Experience with Travel Retail channel (preferred).
  • Deep understanding of the MEA region, gained from remote work or residency in the region.
  • Ability to communicate in Hindi, Arabic, or Tagalog in addition to English.
