Job Purpose

dnata is one of the world's largest air services providers offering ground handling, cargo, travel, and flight catering services across five continents. We operate in 38 countries and 136 airports globally.

To perform maintenance activities on powered and non-powered Ground Support, Material handling, and Workshop Equipment in accordance with dnata standards and procedures. Independently handle most maintenance activities while being supervised/guided by seniors for complex maintenance issues.

In This Role You Will

• Ensure the assigned work area is kept clean, tools are fit for use, and assets maintained properly.
• Follow safety procedures during maintenance to prevent injuries and damage.
• Ensure calibration and certification of tools and lifting equipment are current, reporting discrepancies.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency, cost reduction, and safety improvements, escalating ideas as needed.
• Carry out preventive maintenance, express servicing, and repairs on equipment and machinery.
• Diagnose breakdowns and perform repairs to minimize downtime.
• Guide junior team members in maintenance activities.
• Perform daily inspections for operational reliability and safety, ensuring equipment is charged and functional.
• Assist with refurbishment and modification programs, and identify spare parts and tools needed.
• Report asset conditions and faults to assist in planning and asset management.
• Accurately record all maintenance activities in the work management system.

Qualifications

Must have a Degree or Diploma in Engineering disciplines such as Automotive, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Hydraulics, or Diesel Engines from a recognized institution. Experience requirements vary based on qualification:

• Degree holders: 2-4 years of maintenance experience.
• Diploma holders: 4-6 years of maintenance experience.

Experience in GSE, cargo workshops, automobile workshops, heavy equipment, manufacturing industries, or transportation is preferred. Certifications in welding, hydraulics, PLCs, fabrication, or battery handling are advantageous. A UAE driving license is preferred. Proficiency in maintenance practices and English Level 3 skills are required.
