Multiply Group is an Abu Dhabi-based investment holding company listed on the ADX. We own and invest in businesses across a range of industries around the world. We deploy two broad investment strategies: 1) vertical building, using an anchor/bolt-on approach to drive top-line and profitability growth; and 2) deploying capital in an opportunistic manner.

Within vertical building, we focus on industries going through long-term change and with significant opportunity for growth. These are: mobility, wellness, beauty, media, energy, and retail.

The Growth & Transformation team is responsible for driving value creation and EBITDA uplift across our businesses within vertical building.

Multiply Group is seeking a Director for its Growth & Transformation team. This individual will operate as a key leader, guiding strategic planning, overseeing operational improvement initiatives, and influencing portfolio company leadership to maximize EBITDA and long-term value. The Director will work closely with the Chief Portfolio Officer, the broader investment team, portfolio company executives, and other senior leaders.

This particular role will require significant exposure to at least one of these sectors, ideally more: consumer (staples, discretionary), media, mobility, energy.

Role description:

• Be the key leader of portfolio management & value creation initiatives for their assigned portfolio companies, which would include:
• Serving as the G&T lead for a select set of portfolio companies
• Tracking and reporting each business's performance against defined growth or cost-out targets
• Develop, on a proactive and continuous basis, strategic and value creation initiatives; always be on the hunt for value
• Lead 100-day plans, transformation roadmaps, and other key strategic initiatives as needed:
• Delivering 100-day post-acquisition plans
• Managing (or driving) cross-functional transformation initiatives (e.g., revenue acceleration, cost optimization, digital upgrades)
• Understand the businesses intimately, resulting in effective performance monitoring; this should lead to predicting problems/issues before they arise
• Keeping up-to-date on key trends impacting the respective industries our companies operate in
• Provide strategic oversight, with a particular focus on dealing with senior portfolio company leaders
• Work with the Investment team to ensure robust value creation plans are in place. This will likely include:
• Supporting on due diligence, synergy identification, and post-merger integration
• Refining investment theses based on operational insights
• Be a champion of technology, innovation, and AI to drive both personal productivity and company performance
• Provide team leadership & mentorship
• Providing day-to-day leadership to G&T Managers and Associates
• Fostering high-performance culture that rewards ownership, accountability, and results
• As and when needed, drive recruitment efforts

Role requirements (non-negotiable; all requirements are a must have):

• 15+ years of relevant experience, with experience from a combination of the below (and ideally all three)
• Top consultancy and/or investment bank
• Institutional investor and/or private equity, particularly around value creation
• Industry / corporate within the sector (either media, mobility, energy, consumer)
• Demonstrated track record in:
• Strategic & growth definition
• Operational value creation
• Influencing & shaping key decisions
• Driving large-scale & complex initiatives
• M&A and 100-day planning
• C-suite exposure and Board advisory
• Solid financial acumen with an understanding of how operational actions link to EBITDA and IRR outcomes
• MBA or Master's degree from a top institution is strongly preferred; bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field required
• Superb relationship management skills, including ability to communicate effectively with business leaders and portfolio company management teams
