NES Fircroft Permanent Recruitment is looking for a GroupVice President of Engineering (GroupVP Engineering) based in Dubai.
Our client focuses on innovative processes and technology to deliver cost-effective solutions for Corrosion Resistant Alloy (CRA) Mechanically Lined Pipe (MLP) and weld overlay cladding.
Today, it is the world’s leading supplier offering a comprehensive range of products and services, including pipes, fittings, valves, and more.
With manufacturing facilities strategically located in Indonesia, Brazil, and Saudi Arabia, with a planned expansion in Qatar by 2025, they serve diverse sectors.

Executive Summary
The Vice President of Engineering will be responsible for leading the global engineering function, ensuring technical excellence, alignment with corporate strategy, and strong collaboration with key areas such as R&D, Operations, and Commercial. This role plays a critical part in the technical analysis of client specifications, the definition of engineering solutions aligned with client portfolio, and direct support to our operating sites. The VP will have a functional and/or hierarchical reporting line over local engineering leaders across regions.
Based in the UAE, this executive will directly oversee the Director of Engineering in Batam (Indonesia) and the Senior Engineering Manager in Brazil, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, technical quality, and responsiveness to project and customer demands.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead client global engineering organization, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals and market requirements.
  • Supervise and guide technical teams across multiple locations (e.g., Indonesia and Brazil), ensuring standardization and the application of best engineering practices.
  • Provide technical support to sales, project, and operations teams in analyzing client requirements, specifications, and in developing applicable solutions.
  • Work closely and constructively with the R&D team, contributing practical knowledge to enhance the company’s product portfolio.
  • Propose and implement process improvements and technical innovations to meet specific client demands and enter new markets, particularly in the areas of tubing, welding, coating, and specialized metal applications.
  • Ensure technical compliance and support risk management in engineering projects.
  • Promote collaboration across teams and support technical development of local engineering staff.
  • Contribute to technical analyses for audits, certifications, and strategic projects that impact the company’s technical reputation.
Technical Requirements & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably Materials, Metallurgical, or related disciplines).
  • Proven leadership experience in engineering roles within the tube manufacturing, metallurgical, oil & gas, or similarly demanding industrial sectors.
  • Solid background in industrial environments and international project work.
  • Deep knowledge in reading and interpreting technical specifications and international standards (ASME, API, ASTM, etc.).
  • Strong ability to lead multicultural teams and navigate high-complexity global environments.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
  • Collaborative mindset, solution-oriented, and strong cross-functional communication skills.
  • Availability for frequent international travel.
