Job Summary :
The Group Sr Tax Manager will :
a) oversee Agility’s tax compliance and new business projects, monitor new tax legislation, and implement tax efficiencies for the group, with a focus on UAE Corporate Tax and OECD Pillar 2, and
b) manage the tax control framework and day-to-day tax activities, acting as the main business point of contact for all tax matters for both internal and external stakeholders.
Your Responsibilities
- Manage the Group Tax control framework and daily tax affairs, including compliance, providing strategic guidance, technical expertise, and acting proactively as a business partner for both the corporate office and global businesses.
- Work on:
- Corporate tax compliance of the group,
- Implementation of OECD Pillar 2,
- Design and implement operational transfer pricing strategies,
- Develop and maintain the group's tax control framework,
- Prepare related documentation to ensure compliance,
- Prepare worldwide transfer pricing documentation, including master file, local files, and country-by-country reporting, and other requirements.
- Identify technical tax issues, perform research and analysis to support management decisions.
- Ensure appropriate tax advice is sought to identify risks and opportunities and to guide implementation steps.
- Manage relationships with external tax advisors and tax authorities.
- Provide tax provisions and forecasts to support decision-making.
- Pursue refunds, credits, and incentives as the company expands into new markets to maximize tax benefits.
- Collaborate closely with the corporate team: accounting, legal, FP&A, and local tax and finance teams.
- Stay updated on new legislation.
Requirements
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Tax, Economics, or Accounting.
- Preferred: Formal tax qualification/membership from CTA, IFA, NOB, or similar.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in a Big Four tax firm or as an in-house tax professional within an international organization.
- Experience working with senior management; skilled in people management and communication across functions and geographies, both remotely and in person.
- Experience liaising with tax authorities, government agencies, lawyers, and third-party service providers.
Your Proficiencies
- Strong finance/tax knowledge with IT skills in SAP, Oracle, Cognos, and MS Office.
- Proven ability to lead projects from start to finish.
- Analytical skills, attention to detail, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders.
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage virtual teams.
