Qualifications

• Expertise in corporate law, capital markets, transport, labour, data protection, and anti-corruption regulations.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and lead Group Legal strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
• Direct legal policies, internal controls, and contract management frameworks.
• Manage regulatory relationships and monitor evolving local and international laws.
• Lead dispute resolution, settlements, and litigation management.
• Provide proactive counsel to the Board and CEO on governance, compliance and strategic risks.
• Mentor and develop the internal Group Legal team.

Qantra is seeking a Group General Counsel to lead its Group Legal function in Dubai, UAE. This senior leadership role involves serving as the principal legal advisor to the Group CEO and Board, overseeing legal strategy, corporate governance, and risk management across the organization's subsidiaries.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Experience: Minimum 12+ years of legal experience, with at least 7+ years in a legal counsel or equivalent capacity.
• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Law (MBA or postgraduate qualifications are considered an asset).
• Licensing: Must be licensed by the Legal Affairs Department, Government of Dubai, or a recognised law society.
• Expertise: Demonstrated knowledge in corporate law, capital markets, transportation, labour law, data protection, and anti-corruption regulations.
• Preferred: Experience with public-listed companies and the transport/mobility sector in the UAE/GCC region.
