Job description

Job Purpose

Responsible for developing and rolling out DP World’s Sustainability Value Proposition to our customers. This role focuses on understanding customer sustainability needs and developing solutions and products to meet those objectives. The incumbent will serve as the primary voice for sustainability to customers, working with both small and large clients to maximize value. They will play a critical role in helping customers achieve their sustainability targets and will partner with commercial teams to provide a competitive edge through sustainable solutions.

Key Accountabilities

  • Work directly with DP World’s largest customers to support their sustainability objectives in collaboration with the decarbonization team.
  • Support the development and marketing of digital solutions that help customers understand their environmental footprint.
  • Conduct global mapping of key accounts with a sustainability agenda, including potential and current clients.
  • Develop dynamic resources to assist commercial teams and business units during customer discussions.
  • Build internal sustainability data management systems to be integrated into the sustainability product offerings.
  • Create a sustainability customer value proposition across all business pillars.
  • Collaborate with regional sustainability leads and internal functions to develop new sustainability value propositions, products, and solutions.
  • Work with group commercial teams on deploying green fees and commercial structures for ports.
  • Coordinate with communications and marketing teams to promote exposure and awareness of sustainability initiatives.
  • Represent DP World at external platforms to promote sustainability products.
  • Support technical teams in building and promoting carbon inset programs.
  • Engage and consult with customers and sales teams to identify and create sustainability opportunities and wins.
  • Establish and drive sustainability partnerships with key customers, in collaboration with key account managers.
  • Guide and train sales colleagues, commercial leads, senior leaders, and internal stakeholders to foster dialogue, collaboration, and success in sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, Economics, or related fields.
  • Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CSO, GRI, LEED, ESG) are advantageous.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sustainability and ESG.
  • Experience in consultative B2B sales with a customer-centric approach.
  • Understanding of logistics solutions and operations across transportation, warehousing, e-commerce, and 3PL/4PL solutions is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Proven stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence decision-makers within complex organizational structures.
  • Strong presentation skills, both visual and verbal, with the ability to listen and understand customer needs.
  • Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset and attention to detail.
  • Resilient to change, adaptable to shifting priorities, workloads, and responsibilities.
